So this weekend I had BIG plans to clean, clean, clean, clean. I'm on this new little clean kick and I guess I'd like it to continue. I have set a goal to get the family side of the basement cleaned in the month of Feb. That gives me a nice cushion to get things done and NOT feel overwhelmed.
In any case, as you can probably already guess, I didn't get much cleaning done other than the regular dishes and wiping the counters down. Ian was terrible miserable with this massive bilateral ear infection ALL WEEKEND! Lucky for us he hasn't had a fever since yesterday afternoon. I guess this ear infection is pretty nasty. Lucky for us antibiotics should help things out.
Even though it was a busy weekend with Ian...I realized how much I really, really, really love my little family. I love the little baby kisses! I love watching Ian stuff his face with diced spaghetti and diced cucumbers! I love the random hugs and kisses from my little lady Sophia, and I love how all she wants to do is cover me in love! I am so blessed!
I've been following a stranger's blog for the last several weeks. Her third baby was born in Oct 2009 with multiple heart defects. The doctors didn't anticipate him living long, but he ended up living 44 days...37 of those were spent with his family at home. The strength and faith of this woman is unimaginable! I can't imagine loosing one of my children...especially at such a young age. I can not imagine living a day without either of my kids. They fill my life with SO MUCH JOY!!!
This weekend helped me to realize how gifted my life has been. Even though we have had a few hardships, I should be even that much grateful for the GRACE God has given me. The Lord is ever present and gracing us with His love day in and day out.
