Cooking & kitchen fun...

So tonight I figured, "It's time to break out the mad cooking skills and make a REAL dinner tonight!" For most of you, you already know my natural born talent is NOT cooking or baking. I honestly function better when I don't have to read much for cooking instructions. Sad...I know...my children are honestly doomed. Warren rarely uses an oven unless he is cooking a pizza, and I rarely use an oven unless I'm baking something from a box.
My mom came to stay with us after Ian was born, and, let me tell you, I thought our oven was going to DIE!!! I think she used that oven more than we have used it in the last five years. Sad...yes, yes...I know.

Anyway, I've been trying to get Sophia involved in cooking dinner or baking snacks. I figured I didn't want to embarass her when she moves out on her own and the only kitchen appliance she REALLY knows how to use is a microwave. It was a fun time teaching her how to brown hamburger, how to chop onions (with a chopper of course), and how to open a can. Well, the opening a can thing was more of a pour this in the pan thing.

All and all, we had a good time...Ian as well. My nine month old son is almost tall enough to grab crap off the top of the oven. He is doing this way before I'm ready for any of it. The noodle dish I made turned out really well. Sophia actually enjoyed it...even though she didn't clean her plate tonight. I think my eyes were bigger than HER stomach. Hope you enjoy the pictures I'm going to post. I'm also going to try and post a video of Ian digg'in through his favorite thing in the kitchen...the RECYCLE BIN!!!
