Well, my little man just invested in another tooth last night. I noticed a little bit of blood on his lower gums last night and when I was check'in it out...TADA...another tooth. Now he is not our little vampire anymore. He is our little pumpkin man! Adorable! I'll try and post a picture when the tooth pops out a little more. In any case...I will post a picture of Ian's "fangs" at the end of this post.
Sometime I miss all the baby things. I get a little sad when I realize that this is the last time I'll have a baby all to myself. It's not a good emotional or financial move to have another baby. More times that not I realize how busy these kids keep me. I love them to death...but Lord...I'd be the wealthiest person in the world if I could bottle their energy and sell it to the highest bidder! These days the closest I can get to that energy is almost directly after ingesting a strong cup of joe. I can't remember the last time I was able to get 12 or 13 hours of sleep. I hear it doesn't get any better as the kids get older. You don't get up early or in the middle of the night...but you stay up all night waiting for them to make it home safely.
Anyway, on the Sophia front...she is becoming such a little lady each and every day. Yesterday on our way home from "big girl school" she told me, "Mom, I prayed for you last night when I was in bed." How nice, right!!!??? Then at the dinner table she told Ian that she was going to pray for him. She folded her hands together and said, "So he can go to school tomorrow, and for....ummm...TOYS!" The innocence of a babe. We could all learn a little something from the young ones. Then Sophia went on to pray for me again, "So mommy can go to work tomorrow. Yeah!" It was absolutely adorable. I love my kids. I just have to say that more frequently when they grid on my last nerve.
As for the NEW dSLR camera...I LOVE IT!!! I just have to get more familiar with the settings and how to use it fully! Little did I know it wasn't going to be a one time investment, but a lifetime investment. I'm now looking into buying another flash and another lens...well two lenses for it. I'm so envious of those beautiful pictures I see out there. I want to be them!!! I want to be able to sit down and flip through a book of my "art". I've looked at taking a few classes at Metro, but really...there isn't a damn thing offered these days unless you want to invest in another major. Now that I think about it...that probably wouldn't be a bad plan. I could always deffer my student loans, but dude...I'm over eight years invested into them. I guess it wouldn't be such a bad thing to deffer for awhile since they are the lowest interest rate debt I have to this day.
Well, I should get to the laundry. Both the kids are at school today, and I need to make the best of it. My luke warm Chi and I have a date with the laundry...both fresh and dirty today! Hope this post finds you all healthy and happy! God bless y'all!
Kids are such a joy and they really put a parents life in perspective. I don't even remember life sometimes without my daughter.
ReplyDeleteOh yes the fun of photography! You know I' a huge fan! It is quite an ivestment once you get the itch to really get into it. I know I've spent about $8000 total since I started casually taking photos in 2006. It can be sooo rewarding though!
