I remember that trip home so vividly in my mind. We brought Sophia home on Thanksgiving Day, and honest to God in heaven...I didn't have a clue as to what to do with her. Both Warren and I stood in front of her packed into her car seat and we looked at each other and said, "Now what?" I look back on that moment and laugh! We knew having children would change our life as a family, but HOLY God in heaven...what a change. Nonetheless, it has been a welcomed change. There are days when I wish I could escape it all...especially when it's Friday and I have to pay the daycare bill...but you have to go through the tough times to get to the fun times.
In any case, back to the 12month check up. So, Ian got his H1N1 booster, some combo vaccine, and his chicken pox vaccine. On Monday night he had himself a 'lil fever. This didn't surprise me b/c he normally spikes a fever the night he gets vaccinated. The thing that was upsetting for me was when the next day that fever continued and brought with it more symptoms. Fussy, irritability, crying, crying, crying, crying...did I mention crying? By Wednesday he has pretty much stopped eating everything except cold yogurt, and we had to give him liquids through a few syringes from Walgreen's. WTF!?
Today (Thursday) yield 1 1/2 wet diapers and by this time I was getting a bit concerned about dehydration AND the fact that he had these welts all over his but, groin, and legs. WTF is this?! After a very expensive trip to Children's ER (the office told us to go in case Ian needed IV fluids), Ian has a mild case of freaking chicken pox...THAT HE GOT FROM THE FREAKING VACCINE!!! WTF! This is why I get these stupid things in the first place. I don't want to have to deal with 2wks of CP. To my dismay, we are going through them voluntarily through the help of a stupid vaccine.
In any case, I was doing some research online about the vaccine and chicken pox in general online, and found the MOST ridiculous thing I've heard in a very long time. WHAT THE H ARE THESE PARENTS THINKING?!

Poor Ian and poor Mommy!! You have been through about every illness out there this season. And now Chickenpox to boot!! Hopefully he gets well soon and is back to your little giant soon!!
