Ode to all things great and good...

So tonight...yes...I am at work. I really, really, really wanted to take a mental health day b/c of all the sickness we have been through this last week, but...I decided against it! It actually turned out alright. I originally had a light group of three patients with an admit bed, but then one of the girls got sick and had to go home. Things shifted up a bit and I was stuck in the heart monitoring room. WOOHOO...yeah...not so much. Tonight seems a bit more tolerable b/c I'm hanging in the T to the E to the LEMETRY with Brandon. The last time I was stuck in here I was put with some random boring person who likes to talk about themselves WAY to much.

Anyway, update on the little man in my life. Ian actually had three 8oz bottles from me AND ate a few of those baby biscuits yesterday. I hope the little man is going to come out of the storm soon. Chicken pox are miserable...doesn't matter how severe the case...especially when you have blisters in your mouth and tongue. He wouldn't let me open his mouth wide enough, but I'm sure he had those miserable lesions all the way down his throat. In any case, if you are reading this today or tomorrow...say a little prayer for Warren. The poor guy is stuck at home with both kids all weekend long by himself. I have this crazy fragmented work schedule this week and next and I'm hoping...praying for his sanity. It was a rough week for me, and part of me was looking forward to work tonight.

So...moving on...Warren and I are finally one of the last couples under 40 who finally dropped our land line this last week. We both upgraded our phones to smart phones and picked up data plans through Verizon. Yeah...we might regret it some day, but at this point...I am REALLY enjoying having access to my email, Facebook, a web browser, etc all on MY BRAND NEW BLACKBERRY CURVE 8535! Warren didn't opt for a blackberry b/c he says that he just doesn't care for the layout, but I guess I don't know any different. Warren ended up getting a Samsung Ommni II and as far as I know he is enjoying it. So...as a new Blackberry family member if any of you have suggestions on GREAT app's drop me a note. I have Facebook...of course...but what else? Drop me a jiggle lingle!

Well, back to the heart monitors. Wish me luck in these last few hours! Then...pray for a PTO for me tonight! Love you all!
